Strengthen your team spirit with the attitude and colour of Kea and maximise the visual impact of your brand.
The kea commands attention and is impossible to ignore. Anyone who's done overnight tramping and exploring around the skifields and mountains of New Zealand knows not to leave any gear out in the open. That's because one of the country's native birds, the kea, is extremely inquisitive, cheeky and loves a good joke.
The world's only alpine parrot, the kea is curious and playful, and not one toback down from a challenge. Their determination mean they will take the rubber off windshield wipers, plastic from headlights, or anything else they fancy. They are one of the most intellient birds on earth, learning from each other to work better as a team. Keas aren't just playful - they are also hard workers, made to thrive in New Zealand's harsh alpine environment.
Which is why Richard and Anne Clark named their teamwear and workwear business after the bird. With rather plain, brown pluage on top. Beneath his browny-green top feathers is a glorious array of colours, from sunny orange to iridescent blue, he shows his true colours when excited or called by others to play.
So it seemed more than fitting that a company helping businesses and teams stand out should adopt the Kea name. When brands need to be represented in a way that makes an impact, Kea delivers identity and branding through teamwear and workwear with colour and attitude.
Anne and Richard Clark are at home in New Zealand's environment. Born and bred Kiwis, they share a lifelong love of the outdoors, and both come from sporting backgrounds where teamwork is paramount. These days they share their adventures with their children, taking trips in the family caravan, biking, boating, skiing and tramping to explore the country's natural beauty and most of all, making memories.
Anne grew up working by her father's side in his menswear store at Mt Manganui. This was the start of her passion for fabrics and clothing trends. She has spent most of her working life in customer experience roles and owned four retail stores across Christchurch. She treasures her childhood memories of family activities in the outdoors, and triumphing at sport through persistence.
Richard grew up on a sheep farm, and was frequently off tramping or skiing. His working background is in marketing, finance and management. But when helping Anne expand her retail business, he realised he wanted to be more involved with customers. So, he purchased a commercial printing business.
They navigated the business through the Christchurch earthquakes and saw the value in expanding online to complement in person approach of partnering with local businesses. Together, Richard and Anne transitioned into branded teamwear and workwear alongside print. Their combined skills and passion are evident in the Kea experience.
Kea is not your run-of-the-mill teamwear and workwear provider. Like the determined parrot, Kea stops at nothing to deliver a unique experience.
